Overview

Unlike the High Atlas, Middle Atlas remains less visited by the tourists. However, it offers a lot of touristic potential such as heavily forested slopes,  gentler relief with beautiful walking country, and a number of interesting Berber towns and villages to visit.

You will start your Middle Atlas tour by Ifrane, before continuing to Azrou, which is a Berber village built at an altitude of 1250m with houses of the Berber tribes “The original inhabitants of Morocco”. You Watch the Berber men with their sheep herds, grinding flour or practicing their trades.Visit the most preserved forest of cedars of Morocco, where you can see Barbary apes leaping tall prickly branches. Along the way cedar forests, you might even spot the gray swoons Atlas or boar.

Itinerary

Pick-up

Pure Morocco driver will pick you up from your hotel in Fez for your Middle Atlas day tour. Departure to Azrou through the beautiful city of Ifrane. Visit of the latter and some free time to have a hot cup of coffee. Continue to discover Azrou, which is a Berber village built at an altitude of 1250m with houses of the Berber tribes, the original inhabitants of Morocco. Watch the Berber men with their sheep herds, grinding flour or practicing their trades.Visit the most preserved forest of cedars of Morocco, where you can see Barbary apes leaping tall prickly branches. Lunch Time

Optional lunch in a local restaurant in Khenifra. In the Afternoon visit of Khénifra countryside, places to visit are the Aguelmame Lake which is the biggest lake in all North Africa and Oum Rabie River springs.

Drop-off

End of the visit and transfer back to your hotel in Fez via Aïn Louh road.
